The tabletop is used as a cover for your drum when it is not in use. It makes a fantastic little patio table. Besides acting as a tabletop, it also keeps ashes from being blown around, or turning into muck when it rains. Another equally important function of the table is its use as a cap for the fire at the end of the night. Simply drop it on the drum and the fire will be contained, avoiding the mess of having to pour water on it.
